Welcome to the Town of Prospect's website. Prospect is a small town with a population of ~720 and is located between Stockton Springs and Frankfort at the corner of Rt 174 and Hawes Bridge Rd. Our Town Office is located behind the Prospect Fire Station in the same building.

Select Board Nomination papers are available now in the town office and can be picked up during regular business hours.

-The Select Board seat is a three year term and is defined as a position of significant responsibility, requiring dedication to community service, an overseer of the poor and board of assessors. Members are expected to attend all meetings and actively participate in decision-making processes.

A special Town Meeting will be held March 1st, 2025 at 9am in the Prospect Fire Station to review and vote on the Planning Boards Building Code Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance. All community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussions.

Bucksport Senior Center Meals Program

The select board would like to inform our residents that $7.00 home made meals are available for order from the Bucksport Senior Citizen Center! These meals are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday excluding holidays. pick up at 10:30 am at the Senior Center in Bucksport, pay cash or check at the time of pick up. call and order to go meals at 469-3632 before 9:00 am the day of the meal. Pre-orders are taken for upcoming meals as well.

Prospect's 2023 Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Planning Committee is very pleased to report that on September 30th, 2023, the Town of Prospect voted in favor of adopting Prospect's 2023 Comprehensive Plan. The plan can be viewed at Town Office and online here.
