-The Select Board seat is a three year term and is defined as a position of significant responsibility, requiring dedication to community service, an overseer of the poor and board of assessors. Members are expected to attend all meetings and actively participate in decision-making processes.***
**A special Town Meeting will be held March 1st, 2025 at 9am in the Prospect Fire Station to review and vote on the Planning Boards Building Code Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance. All community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussions.**
Just a bit of information to answer many question we had received on why the sand pile was moved.and a fence was put up. Between thief, vandalism and safety concerns the Selectmen made the decision to listen to the recommendations from our insurance company. Also, looking around to other Town's and even some DOT salt & sand sheds you can see that they have fences and or gates.See PDF below for Maine Municipal Association's recommendation.
